Take a look at the Ashdown Forest Conservators own walk starting at Long car park. They also have a second walk ‘Old Airstrip’ which although starting at Reservoir car park, does follow part of our walk, showing the long straight stretch which was formed for use as an emergency landing strip by the Canadian army in world war two and along which we usually do walk.
